Car Accidents in Alabama
More than 2500 motor vehicle accidents were reported in the state of Alabama every month in 2022. These accidents left thousands of people with injuries. There are several leading causes of car crashes in Alabama.
One common cause is distracted driving. Drivers who take their eyes off the road for even a few seconds can cause serious accidents. Texting while driving, eating or drinking, and changing the radio station are all examples of distractions that take the driver’s attention off the road.
Another leading cause of car crashes in Alabama is speeding. Driving too fast reduces reaction time and makes it difficult for drivers to avoid obstacles on the road.
Driving under the influence is another major cause of car crashes in Alabama. Alcohol impairs judgment and slows down reaction times, making it harder for drivers to stay safe on the road.
Inexperienced drivers are more likely to get into accidents than experienced ones. Teenage drivers tend to be more reckless behind the wheel than older drivers with years of experience.
