Fatal Auto Accidents in Alabama

Fatal accidents take the lives of hundreds of people in Alabama every year. Unfortunately, the sudden and unexpected loss of a loved one can be incredibly difficult to deal with. Families often deal with overwhelming mental and emotional impacts. To make the situation even more difficult, families often face significant financial burdens as well.

In many cases, the accidents that claim the lives of innocent people are completely preventable. There are far too many accidents that take place as a result of negligent and reckless drivers. Some of the leading factors identified in fatal collisions across our state include:

Distractions: It is all too common to see innocent people lose their lives as a result of drivers who are distracted. When drivers are not paying attention to the road ahead, they run the risk of losing control of their vehicles and crashing into others nearby.

Failing To Yield: When drivers switch lanes, turn at intersections, or engage in other traffic actions without yielding the right-of-way to other motorists, they can cause serious injury accidents. Unfortunately, these accidents are all too common here in Alabama.

Impairment: When motorists are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, they are likely to lose control of their vehicles and crash into others. Impairment significantly impacts a driver’s judgment, their ability to stay awake, and their reaction time, all of which can lead to deadly collisions.
