Birmingham, AL – Bus Crash on I-59 near 4th Ave Leaves Three Hurt

Birmingham, AL (May 3, 2024) – Three people were transported to area hospitals with injuries following a bus accident that occurred on Thursday afternoon in Birmingham. Authorities were called to the scene of the accident on May 2.


Official reports indicate that a charter bus carrying 40 people was traveling on the northbound side of Interstate 59 a while in route from the Salvation Army heading towards Georgia. As the vehicle proceeded through the exit near 4th Avenue, it was involved in a collision. Three people involved in the crash were injured. All of the victims were transported to area hospitals for further medical care. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
