Birmingham, AL - Jumarcus Dejuan Faison Killed in I-59 Wreck
Birmingham, AL (October 27, 2023) – The Birmingham Police Department confirmed that 38-year-old Jumarcus Dejuan Faison was killed in a motor vehicle accident that took place on Thursday morning.
The police were called to the scene of the accident at around 1225 a.m. on October 26.
Reports provided by the Birmingham Police Department show that a collision took place on the northbound side of Interstate 59 during the overnight hours. As a result of the collision, a person in the backseat of the vehicle, identified as Faison, was ejected from the vehicle.
Authorities arrived at the scene and closed down the roadway near the Roebuck Parkway exit.
Faison sustained severe injuries in the crash. He was transported to the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital by the Birmingham Fire and Rescue (BFR). He was pronounced deceased after arriving.
At this time, the incident is being investigated.
