Fatal Truck Accidents in Alabama

Fatal automobile accidents can have an overwhelming impact on the lives of families. Unfortunately, hundreds of people die as a result of accidents that take place in Alabama every year. The vast majority of these accidents involve some form of negligence.

The unfortunate truth is that truck accidents are more likely to have severe consequences on the lives of those involved due to the size and weight of these vehicles. When innocent people lose their lives as a result of truck accidents, surviving family members are able to take legal action. In order to recover any form of financial restitution for a fatal accident, families must be able to prove that negligence played a role. They must also be able to identify the parties who are liable.

When it comes to truck accident cases, there are several parties who can be held liable for any resulting injuries and damages. These include:

  • Government agencies

  • Other drivers involved in the accident

  • Trucking company

  • Truck driver

  • Cargo loaders

  • Vehicle manufacturer

  • Maintenance and repair service providers

After demonstrating that another party acted negligently and caused the accident, you can file a wrongful death claim against them. Working with a wrongful death lawyer in Birmingham can provide your family with the best chance of holding the negligent party accountable and getting justice.
