Birmingham, AL – Two Killed, Four Injured in Auto Accident on Graymont Ave W
Birmingham, AL (May 8, 2023) – A major motor vehicle accident took place in the Birmingham area that claimed the lives of two people while leaving several others injured.
The accident was reported at around 515 a.m. on May 7.
According to officials, a collision took place in the 800 block of Graymont Avenue West.
The Birmingham Police Department and the Birmingham Fire and Rescue responded to the scene to provide assistance.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as a female, and a male inside the vehicle were fatally injured. The two victims were declared deceased at the scene.
Three women and a man had to be extricated from their vehicle. The four victims were rushed to the University of Alabama Birmingham Hospital for emergency care. One of the victims was admitted to the hospital in critical condition.
At this time, investigations into the crash are underway.
