Brantley, AL – Lakenya Anderson Loses Life in Car Crash on Crenshaw County 57

Brantley, AL (June 19, 2023) – The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency confirmed that 40-year-old Lakenya Anderson lost her life as a result of a two-vehicle accident that occurred on Sunday morning, June 18.

At around 8:05 a.m., ALEA was dispatched to provide assistance on-site at a crash on Crenshaw County 57.

According to reports provided by authorities, Anderson was driving a 2018 Nissan Rogue on Crenshaw County 57 when her vehicle collided head-on with a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado just seven miles north of Brantley, Alabama.

Anderson was fatally hurt in the crash and pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers. A 12-year-old passenger in the Nissan was injured in the accident. The victim was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.

The driver of the Chevrolet, 20-year-old Lucas Johnson, was not injured.

At this time, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is conducting an investigation into the crash.
