Chambers, AL – Child Killed in Truck Crash on AL-50
Chambers, AL (November 20, 2023) – A young child has died as a result of a fatal crash that occurred in Chambers County on Friday, November 17. At around 2:40 p.m., authorities were called to the site of a crash on Alabama 50.
According to local news sources, a Mack tractor-trailer and a Toyota Camry collided on Alabama 50. The incident prompted authorities to shut down the roadway while assisting. A woman in the Toyota and a 1-year-old child were both injured. The woman, identified as Patricia McCollough, was transported to East Alabama Medical Center for emergency care. The young child was pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident due to the extent of injuries. At this time, investigations into the crash are underway.
