Dawson Teen Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on AL 75 in DeKalb Co., AL

DeKalb County, AL (August 30, 2026) – A Dawson teenager was killed early Saturday, August 29, after a multi-vehicle crash on Alabama 75 near Lakeview, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

The crash happened around 4:30 a.m. when the truck driven by the teen was struck by another truck operated by a man from Collinsville. The Dawson teen was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Collinsville driver was taken to a hospital in Fort Payne for treatment of injuries. Additional information about the extent of those injuries was not immediately available.

The circumstances leading to the crash remain unclear, and the incident is under investigation by ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division.
