Fatal Auto Accidents in Alabama

In 2020, Alabama mourned the loss of more than 900 lives due to automobile accidents. Despite laws designed to protect drivers, the toll of fatalities from car crashes is on an upward trend.

The root of these tragic accidents often lies in driver negligence. There are several key behaviors that lead to many of the car accidents seen in Alabama:

  • Distractions: Using phones or other distractions takes focus away from driving, raising the chance of accidents with vehicles or pedestrians.

  • Impairment: Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs diminishes decision-making skills and vehicle control.

  • Speeding: Going over the speed limit makes it harder to control a vehicle and avoid collisions.

  • Ignoring Traffic Signs: Skipping red lights, overlooking stop signs, or not yielding can cause serious or even fatal accidents.

The aftermath of losing someone in a fatal crash is overwhelmingly difficult, leaving families to face sudden financial and emotional strains from funeral costs, lost income, and more. Taking immediate legal action is crucial.

Partnering with an Alabama wrongful death lawyer means your family gets help pursuing a claim for compensation against those at fault. This step is important for easing the financial burden during such a hard time.
