Fatal Car Accidents in Alabama
Dealing with the aftermath of a fatal accident can be especially challenging. Unfortunately, hundreds of victims lose their lives as a result of collisions that occur in our state each year. Far too often, these accidents are completely preventable. We see countless innocent people lose their lives as a result of driver negligence. Some of the leading factors in fatal collisions across our state include:
Running Red Lights: Even though drivers are required to stop when proceeding through red lights and stop signs at intersections, we continue to see countless accidents take place as a result of drivers who fail to do so.
Impairment: When drivers operate their vehicles while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, there is an increased risk that they will lose control of their vehicles and crash into others. Unfortunately, impairment severely impacts a driver’s judgment, which can lead to more vehicle collisions occurring.
Distractions: When drivers do not have their full attention on the road ahead, they are likely to strike other vehicles or even pedestrians in the area. We see far too many accidents take place as a result of drivers who are texting, eating, or messing with their radios.
