Huntsville, AL (February 21, 2026) – One person died and five others suffered injuries on February 20 following a multi-vehicle crash in Huntsville.

The crash occurred around 7:31 p.m. at the intersection of Jordan Lane, also known as Highway 53, and Grizzard Road. Officers with the Huntsville Police Department responded to the scene along with emergency medical crews from Huntsville Emergency Medical Services Inc.

Police confirmed that six occupants were involved across two vehicles. According to preliminary findings, one vehicle attempted a left turn onto Grizzard Road when it collided with a northbound vehicle traveling on Jordan Lane. The vehicles crashed at the intersection.

First responders pronounced a woman dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released her identity pending notification of next of kin. In addition to the fatality, one individual sustained critical injuries.

Two others suffered serious injuries, and two more had mild injuries. Emergency crews transported the injured victims to Huntsville Hospital for treatment.
