Lawrence Co., AL – Truck Crash on AL-24 Takes Pedestrian’s Life

Lawrence Co., AL (December 8, 2023) – A crash reported in Lawrence County on Tuesday morning claimed the life of 23-year-old Curtis Robinson of Decatur, Alabama. The accident took place at around 5:50 a.m. on December 5.

According to reports provided by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Robinson was struck by a truck on Alabama Highway 24 during the morning hours. Authorities arrived at the scene and shut down the highway near County Road 359, just five miles southwest of Trinity.

The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries due to the crash. He was pronounced deceased immediately at the scene by responding officers. At this time, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's Highway Patrol Division is investigating.
