Macon Co., AL – Larry Johnson, Santoyas Jackson Killed in US-80 Crash

Macon Co., AL (October 25, 2023) – The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency confirmed that two people died as a result of a fatal truck crash on Monday in Macon County.

The accident was reported just prior to 7:30 p.m. on October 23.

According to ALEA, a 2005 GMC Sierra pickup truck was traveling on Interstate 80 when it collided head-on with a 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA near mile marker 18. The two vehicles were severely damaged in the crash, requiring them to be towed from the scene.

The drivers of both vehicles incurred fatal injuries. The victims, 33-year-old Santoyas D. Jackson of Columbus, Georgia, and 56-year-old Larry R. Johnson of Hurtsboro, Alabama, were both pronounced dead at the scene by ALEA.
