Car Accidents in Alabama

Alabama sees thousands of motor vehicle accidents every year, many of which result in serious injuries. Highways and interstates are common locations for crashes, especially on ramps where merging traffic increases the risk of collisions. Mobile is no exception, with many accidents occurring on its busy roadways.

Here are a few important factors to keep in mind about car crashes:

  • Entrapment in Vehicle Accidents – Some crashes cause vehicle damage that traps occupants inside, requiring emergency crews to perform extrication procedures. This can delay medical treatment and increase injury risks.

  • Highway and Ramp Collisions – Merging onto highways can be dangerous, especially when drivers fail to yield, speed excessively, or make sudden lane changes. Accidents on ramps can lead to severe injuries.

  • Common Injuries from Crashes – Injuries in highway accidents can range from whiplash and broken bones to traumatic brain injuries and internal organ damage. The force of impact at high speeds increases the likelihood of severe harm.

  • What to Do After a Crash – Seeking medical attention, reporting the accident, and gathering evidence are all critical steps. If another driver’s negligence played a role, legal action may be necessary to recover damages.
