Mobile, AL – Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Officer on I-10
Mobile, AL (June 7, 2023) – An officer-involved motor vehicle accident claimed one person’s life early Tuesday morning, June 6.
At around 2:15 a.m., the Mobile Police Department responded to the scene of a crash that involved one of their own.
Reports show that a 74-year-old pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle on Interstate 10 in the mobile area. The Mobile Police Department officer was traveling west on the roadway at the time of the accident when they struck the pedestrian.
The pedestrian was fatally injured as a result of the crash. He was subsequently pronounced deceased by the authorities.
At this time, the incident is being investigated. No other injuries were reported.
