Northport, AL (June 11, 2024) – A fatal truck accident reported in the Northport area claimed one person’s life. The accident took place on June 9 at around 5:15 p.m.
Reports from the Northport Police Department indicate that a Mustang was leaving the Green Village trailer park during the evening hours. As the vehicle entered McFarland Boulevard, it was struck by a tractor-trailer, which was westbound on the roadway. A 59-year-old man involved in the accident, identified as Anthony Allen of Northport, Alabama, suffered fatal injuries. He was pronounced deceased by authorities. As the semi-truck tractor-trailer proceeded forward, it collided with a Honda Accord. Two people in the vehicle were injured. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
