Fatal Motorcycle Crashes in Alabama

Fatal accidents involving motorcycles claim the lives of numerous individuals in Alabama every year, highlighting the vulnerability of riders on the road. Despite being largely preventable, many tragic losses occur due to drivers' negligent actions. One common factor in fatal motorcycle accidents is drivers failing to give motorcyclists the right-of-way, particularly when turning at intersections or merging onto roads.

Another frequent cause is drivers disobeying traffic signals such as red lights or stop signs, putting motorcyclists at risk as they navigate intersections. Moreover, distracted driving exacerbates the risk of fatal motorcycle accidents, whether it's due to texting, phone calls, or general inattention. This distraction can lead drivers to overlook motorcyclists, resulting in catastrophic outcomes.
