Pinson, AL – Eight Children Hurt in Bus Crash on Bradford Rd
Pinson, AL (April 24, 2024) – A major motor vehicle accident reported in Pinson on Monday left multiple victims injured. The Center Point Fire Department and police were notified of the accident at around 7:30 a.m. on April 22.
According to official reports, a daycare van with the Carson Village Daycare was traveling on Bradford Road during the early morning hours. As the vehicle passed near Kermit Johnson Road by the Kermit Johnson Elementary School, it became involved in a collision. The driver of the van was trapped inside and had to be extricated. The driver was transported to the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital for emergency medical care. A total of eight children were injured in the crash. The children were transported to Children's of Alabama's Trauma Unit for emergency medical treatment. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
