Car Accidents in Alabama

Being involved in an accident can have a devastating impact on your life. Unfortunately, we see thousands of people injured every year in accidents that take place right here in Alabama. Car crashes, unfortunately, result in a variety of injuries ranging from minor cuts and bruises to severe trauma, which can require extensive medical treatment. Some common injuries that can occur as a consequence of an automobile accident include whiplash, fractures, concussions, internal bleeding, and spinal cord damage.

Unfortunately, many of the accidents reported in our state are completely preventable. We see many people harmed as a result of driver negligence. Distracting driving tends to be one of the most common factors in these accidents. When drivers are engaging in activities like texting while driving, eating, or talking to passengers, it takes their attention from the road ahead and can dramatically increase the risk of accidents occurring.

Impaired driving due to alcohol use or drug use can significantly impair a driver’s coordination, judgment, and reaction time. Speeding, running red lights, and aggressive driving behavior are other common factors that contribute to collisions across our state.

If you have been hurt as a result of a car crash caused by a negligent or reckless driver, you should seek guidance from a Birmingham car accident lawyer right away. You may have legal options available to hold the negligent party accountable and to help you get the financial resources you need moving forward.
