Initial reports indicated that at least one person was trapped and another person was injured. Two ambulances later transported people from the scene.

Alabama State Troopers are investigating the crash.

We wish everyone injured in the wreck a smooth and complete recovery.

What Legal Options May Be Available After a Two-Vehicle Crash in Sand Rock, AL?

People injured in a two-vehicle crash may have the option to pursue compensation if another driver's negligence contributed to the collision.

A claim may include medical expenses, lost wages, rehabilitation costs, and other financial losses related to an injury.

If continued treatment is needed, anticipated medical expenses may also be considered. Compensation for pain and suffering may be available depending on the circumstances and applicable law.

Determining fault requires a review of how the crash occurred. Relevant evidence may include driver statements, witness accounts, photographs, vehicle damage, roadway details, and the crash report.

People involved should keep copies of medical records, hospital bills, prescriptions, and follow-up instructions. Documentation can help establish the treatment received and expenses connected to the crash. Records of missed work, reduced income, and other related costs may also support a claim.

Insurance coverage is another factor. A driver's liability policy may cover qualifying losses if that driver is found responsible, subject to policy limits. Uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage may also be relevant if the at-fault driver has no insurance or insufficient coverage. Medical payments coverage, when included in a policy, may help pay certain medical expenses regardless of fault.

Before accepting a settlement, injured people may want to consider whether it accounts for current medical costs, lost income, and anticipated treatment. Reviewing any release carefully is also worthwhile because signing one may limit the ability to pursue additional compensation later.
