Woman Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Alabama 202 in Calhoun Co., AL

Calhoun County, AL (July 29, 2026) – A woman was killed after being struck by a pickup truck on Alabama 202 near mile marker 6 in Calhoun County early Tuesday morning, July 28.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said the crash occurred around 4:30 a.m. on Alabama 202, less than a mile west of Anniston. Investigators said 40-year-old Destiney M. Bobo of Anniston was in the roadway when she was struck by a 2015 Ram 1500 driven by an Anniston man.

Bobo was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released additional details regarding the circumstances leading up to the collision.

Troopers with ALEA's Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the fatal crash.
