Escambia County, AL (April 1, 2026) – An 18-year-old from Brewton was killed, and four other teens were injured after a truck overturned on Sunday, March 29, in Escambia County.
According to authorities, the crash occurred around 5:33 p.m. on County Road 55 near Neese Road. Officials said five teens were riding in the truck when it left the roadway and overturned.
Law enforcement reported that three of the teens (ages 18, 17, and 16) were riding in the bed of the truck and were ejected during the crash. The 18-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 16- and 17-year-olds were transported to the hospital.
A 16-year-old driver and a 15-year-old passenger who were inside the cab were also injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation.
