Auto Accidents in Alabama

More than 600 accidents were reported on roadways across the state of Alabama every week during 2022. These accidents often lift victims with serious injuries that require medical care.

Car accidents can cause many injuries, some more severe than others. One of the most common injuries is whiplash, which occurs when the head suddenly jerks forward and backward upon impact. This can result in neck pain, headaches, and even dizziness.

Other common injuries include broken bones or fractures from the force of impact. These can vary in severity depending on which part of the body was affected. For example, a broken leg may require surgery and extensive rehabilitation, while a hairline fracture in the wrist may only require a cast for several weeks.

Traumatic brain injuries are also possible after a car accident due to sudden jolts or blows to the head. Symptoms might not appear immediately after an accident, but they could develop gradually over time, such as chronic headaches or memory loss.

Not all car accident-related injuries are visible, either. There are many cases where people are left with posttraumatic stress disorder, anxiety, and other psychological injuries that impact their lives forever.

Unfortunately, there are many instances where individuals end up passing away as a result of the injuries they suffer in auto accidents. If you have lost a loved one as a result of an accident, you may be able to take legal action against the responsible party. You should reach out to a car accident lawyer in Alabama right away.
