Authorities have identified the two victims who died in a head-on crash early Saturday, March 21, along U.S. 43 about 11 miles north of Tuscaloosa. The collision occurred shortly after midnight and involved two vehicles.
Officials said 20-year-old Abigail Woods was driving when her vehicle collided head-on with another vehicle operated by a 17-year-old from Northport. Sierra Jackson, 19, a passenger in Woods’ vehicle, was also involved in the crash.
Both Woods and Jackson were pronounced dead at the scene due to their injuries. Two additional passengers in Woods’ vehicle and the teenage driver of the other vehicle were injured and transported to a hospital for treatment.
