Calhoun Co, AL – Fatal Crash on AL HWY 77 Claims One Life
Calhoun Co, AL (December 25, 2024) – A tragic crash on Sunday night at approximately 8:25 p.m. on Alabama Highway 77 has resulted in the death of 28-year-old Caleb B. Falls from Cullman. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) reported the incident, which involved three cars and left three individuals injured, one of them critically.
According to ALEA, Falls was driving a 2024 Nissan Sentra southbound when a 2019 Ford Mustang struck the rear of the Nissan. The impact caused the Nissan to swerve into oncoming traffic, where it collided head-on with a 2015 Toyota Prius.
Falls was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Toyota Prius sustained severe injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for immediate medical care. The driver and passenger in the Mustang also sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Emergency crews, including paramedics and firefighters, quickly responded to the scene. Firefighters worked to extricate the victims from the wreckage, while paramedics provided stabilization and transported the injured to medical facilities. The Alabama Highway Patrol and local law enforcement managed the scene, directing traffic and ensuring safety during recovery efforts.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash to determine the factors that led to the collision.
Our deepest sympathies are extended to the family and friends of Caleb B. Falls during this difficult time.
