Tuscaloosa, AL – Fatal Truck Accident at Skyland Blvd & I-20 Takes Life of Samuel Brown & Teen
Tuscaloosa, AL (April 17, 2023) – The Tuscaloosa Police Department confirmed that 18-year-old Samuel Brown and a 17-year-old female tragically lost their lives as a result of a truck accident that took place early Saturday morning.
At around 1:50 a.m. on April 15, the Tuscaloosa Police Department and firefighters responded to the scene of an accident on Skyland Boulevard.
Reports from authorities show that Brown and three other teenagers were traveling on Skyland Boulevard in a 2022 Tesla when the vehicle collided with a semi-truck near Interstate 20. The Tesla became trapped under the vehicle with four people inside.
The driver of the Tesla, identified as the 17-year-old female, and Brown were both pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of their injuries.
Two other teenagers, identified as an 18-year-old female and a 17-year-old female, were both injured. The 18-year-old, who is from Montgomery, Alabama, was transported to UAB Hospital for the treatment of serious injuries. The 17-year-old, who is from Marion, Alabama, was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa for the treatment of injuries.
At this time, the police department is investigating the accident.
